Something Old, To Have and To Hold

Hi everyone!
It's Kim.
This week, Sherry challenged us to use our oldest tool.
The oldest thing I have is my heating tool.
I got it about 17 years ago, right after I made 250 embossed thank you cards, seating cards, shower invites....
It's bright purple and it still works perfectly!
(I only wish my blow dryers would last as long).

Above is the card I made.
The silver medallion and center image were inked with Encore Silver Metallic ink and then embossed with clear powder. It is the only way I can get that ink to stay dry and not smudge. But, it sure look pretty, so it's worth the extra work.
The card is a gatefold card. The band slips off easily.

Below is the inside of the card:

Stamps: Wedding Day & Out on a Limb (PTI), hugs & wishes (SU)
Paper: Silver, White
Ink: Palette Noir, Encore Silver Metallic
Other: half pearl, glue dots, silver & white ribbon, cuttlebug damask folder, scallop edge punch, clear embossing powder, dimensionals

Since it's for a 50th Anniversary, I used the sentiment and then a basic Happy Anniversary stamp.

That scallop panel isn't just a decoration. It's actually a pocket for me to put a gift card in.

(I'm including a gift card to a restaurant that they enjoy)

Thanks for stopping by! Come back tomorrow and see what other old tools are being used.
