Let's face it. Most of us go back and look at our early work and cringe. Some of us, ahem, go back and DELETE those awful projects! This week, we are celebrating our initial projects because they mark just how far we have come in honing our skills, techniques, supplies and most of all, our eyes. Yes, before you can create a project, you have to be able to visualize it.
This was one of my first creations that I shared with the public. It was a color challenge from Splitcoast Stampers, to use Certainly Celery, Pacific Point, and Going Grey. I used Basic Grey and Bazzill papers, and the Stampin' Up's Three Trees stamp set. I kept the layout, and the color combination to create this:
I changed the papers, using older Stampin' Up and Gina K Designs cardstock. I switched the image (Gina K's Tree Silhouettes) because the original image is currently in storage, then adjusted the embellishments for a more modern feel. Everything I used is more than a year old.
I hope you've enjoyed this little stroll down memory lane. Be sure to check back tomorrow to see how Eva recreates her classic card! If you decide to play along, please leave us a link in the comments so we can see your fabulous transformation!
Ta for now,
~ky
