Alphabet Love

Happy Friday crafters, and another welcome to Stamping With The Oldies!
My name is Eva Strong, and I have been stamping for a long time. I started out just using stamps for scrapbook layouts, but lately I am spending most of my craft time making cards, and other fun projects, and have not made any layouts for a long time.

For my card today, I used my very first stamp set that I got in 2000 at a Stampin' Up party. At the time I thought that this was a set that I would use always, but it has been sitting in a drawer for years without being used, and I am pretty sure, that it was used very little to begin with...

Supplies:
Stampin' Up Alphabet Antiques stamps
Martha Stewart heart gems
Ribbon from a box of candy

I found some heart gems in my stash and just added a black ribbon to this CAS card. It was lots of fun using my old stuff again.  I hope that you will be inspired by us "Oldie Chicks" and that you will dig out your old stamps and make something new with them. Link up your projects and share what you make with stuff from your stash.

We all hope you have enjoyed seeing our Oldies but Goodies this week.  Now it is YOUR turn to play along. Pull out your first or oldest stamp set and create something! Link it to this post (using Mr. Linky below) by Wednesday August 8th Midnight EST for a chance to win a little prize package with some stamps, paper and a few other goodies- all older (stamps are NIP) products that you can use to stamp with us! We can't wait to see your creations!!  Have a great weekend.

  5. Hey girls! I love the idea behind this challenge blog. Thanks for the reminder that even though some of our products are "older", they are still worthwhile.
