And To All A Good Night

Merry Christmas!!  It's that wonderful time of the year when we often find ourselves one present too short, but no time to go shopping. Usually, that's when the cash starts to look appetizing, but the presentation can be lacking.

Faced with this situation myself, I decided to devote just a little time, effort and thought into the packaging of a stash of cash. I needed something for a 13 year old boy who loves his doggie, and loves to give generously to others.

I used a video instruction by Gina K Designs on Stamp TV for making a quick and easy masculine money holder. You can find the video and the measurements HERE. It took less than a half a sheet of cardstock, and just scraps to decorate the panels. I changed up the inside so I would have an overlapping piece of coordinated paper to tuck in the bills.

I love using this set by Tami Mayberry. She created Warm Winter Wishes with her grandmother in mind, and dedicated 100% of her proceeds to the Alzheimer's Association. How's that for a gift that keeps on giving! 

I think I'm going to hang this on the tree with the ornaments so it doesn't get lost amongst the ripped papers from other gifts. I might make a game out of helping him find it. Hee hee! Wouldn't that be a fun tradition!

Thinking Of You

Welcome to Monday, friends! Hopefully, yours is off to a good start. Ky here, sharing a little manly thinking of you card.

Isn't this lighthouse just adorable against that radiating paper? I colored the images with my Copics, popped the seagull up on foam, and added two brads in the corners for balance.

Hopefully this card will bring you some cheer today. Sometimes, just knowing someone is thinking of you is enough to make it through the day. Have a happy one!

My Favorite Season

Autumn. I love you so. It's Ky here with some inspiration for you. Our theme this week is fall. I love the way autumn smells. I love the way the store displays start to get a little festive, and the light from the sun reaches that beautiful angle, perfect for beautiful sunsets.

I love pumpkin spice lattes, the scent of wood smoke in the air, comfy sweaters, football...it's just magical to me. So, I made this card from one of the first sets I bought from Gina K. Designs - My Cuppa Joe illustrated by Rupa Shevde. It's a great set for lots of reasons. I hope you've enjoyed the inspiration we're sharing this week. Ahhh September

I'm looking forward to cooler temperatures, autumn leaves, mums, football - all those wonderful memories just waiting to be made! Kids are headed back to school, and our soldiers stationed abroad need a card to send back to their kiddo to let them know they are loved. Yeah, sometimes I think we make a lot of grown up cards for Operation Write Home, but maybe we should make a bigger deal of kid all-occasion cards.

I used Gina K Design's Spring Has Sprung stamp set, illustrated by Rupa Shevde. The set has so many cute, whimsical images and sentiments perfect for kids! This is an old 6 x 6 paper pad from Basic Grey called Lime Rickey. Talk about wild papers! Go pull out some of your older things, and see what you can make. Up Up and Away

Hello stamp fans! Thank you all so much for visiting our little blog! I'm still in the process of moving, so I don't have access to my oldest (circa 1992) stamps. This set, however, is one of my favorites. The focal image is from Gina K Design's Stamp TV kit, Eclectic Summer (STV-10003, 5/28/09).

The sentiment is from Gina's Eclectic Summer Sayings set, that same release date. That set was simple line art, but the images are truly universal in their appeal. Here in East Texas we celebrated with our annual hot air balloon race last weekend. I thought it was a perfect time to pull out this set.

The cardstock is from Gina K, but the patterned paper is SEI Dill Blossom pack from way back in 2008 (I think). I colored the balloons with Copic markers and popped one up on dimensional foam. This card (and 99% of all my cards) get shipped overseas for Soldiers to write in and send back to their families (Operation Write Home).
